The latest member of the OluwaDolarz online comedy family, Okiki DFT recently claimed that some officers of NigeriaPolice Force carted away his customized necklace and wristwatch after they apprehended him.
This comes after his fellow colleague, Funny Toheeb’s revealed his unpleasant experience in the hands of police officers as he claimed they arrested him and accused him of being a yahoo boy. Okiki saw the post and also narrated his ordeal in the comment section of the post.
In his case, he was arrested and asked to bail himself. However, he was able to reach an agreement with the officers and he was then ordered to make cash withdrawals at an ATM point.
Unfortunately, he did not realise that they had already stolen his necklace and wristwatch. They quickly zoomed off in their vehicle when he backed them to make the withdrawal at the ATM.
In his words:
“Naso in my birthday on my way to @naijaloadedcomng interview that I was already late for , I now rushed down from a school after my presentation and test and then at igboefun on the island after I was coming from my house at lekki , they double crossed me, and then my Taxify as per say we never buy car yet.
So they stopped my Taxify and then instructed that I should come down Naso me I just say wo Baba I no Dey come down make dem search what ever dem won search for inside the ride so they did and then they were taking time and then their boss got down from their van and then instructed that I should go into the van so I just said aii let me just comply with them so I don’t waste more time cuz I was already late for my interview and then they pointed their AKs at me and then I just followed them so I won’t die.
So I entered their van and then they searched my stuffs in the car and then they drove me down to national theater inside the annoying island traffic and then to cut the long story of interrogations and shii they now collected my phone my custom Okiki chain and my wristwatch and said I should go and settle them and then I said aii they should give me my stuffs they said no why that ?
And I was like ah ahhnnn !!!! Like brooo why!!! So I said aii one of them would follow me and then they said” ah ahnn no ooo you won make people Dey snap us or me Dey put for internet “ and then as we argued I just said no they should at least give me my phone and then we argued over that one too and then I later collected only the phone.
As I turned to go to the ATM and then I looked back for them they had already drove off with my chains and wristwatch and they wore bullet proof vests to cover their names and then I couldn’t capture it to remember…., we are all mad in this country !!!!!”
It’s a normal thing for a couple to visit each other and have sleepovers. It is at this time you get to know who someone really is. I mean, how are you going to know if your boyfriend is a thief? But it’s not everyone who does this. However, if you are a lady, you need to be well behaved if you want your man to invite you for a sleepover again and again.
Here’s how to never get invited for a sleepover:
1. Hog the remote from the moment you arrive.
If you love watching the TV, and you can’t keep your hands off the remote, try to avoid doing that on that day. You did not go there to continue watching your favorite soap opera. Remotes aside, get to know each other.
2. Go with the biggest suitcase you can find.
If you are going for a sleepover, carry something light. It’s only for a day girl. If you carry a suitcase, you will scare the heebie-jeebies out of him; he will think you want to move in. A little too fast, don’t you think?
3. Leave the house messy; like really messy.
Do I need to tell you this? Leave the house cleaner than you found it. Everyone loves staying in a clean place.
4. Hogging the bed and duvet like a cat taking an afternoon nap.
Do not hog the duvet and leave your better half feeling like a stranger in his own bed.
5. ‘Accidentally’ forget some of your stuff in his house.
Ladies, I know you want to mark your territory and all, but don’t do it until you are sure. You might give him the impression that you want to move in with him as quickly as possible.
6. Spy through his stuff like an FBI agent who wants a promotion.
Respect each other’s privacy. It’s annoying if your partner goes through your things, so why would you?
7. Overeat all the food in the fridge.
Don’t overeat. Eat reasonably. It’s embarrassing if you begin to have stomach problems at his place. You don’t want him to hear you taking a long poopie when your stomach begins to give you problems.
EXCLUSIVE: David admitted marriage to Victoria was ‘hard work’ as expert reveals their relationship is in a ‘calmer and deeper’ stage
David Beckham shocked fans earlier this week when he branded his marriage to Victoria difficult.
And now a relationship expert has explained that the frank admission reveals the couple are no longer “in love”.
Instead the Beckhams have reached a “calmer and deeper” stage in their relationship – after nearly 20 years of marriage.
“I think marriage, marriage is always about hard work,” David said in an interview with Australian TV show The Sunday Project.
“You know your children — they want your time and they deserve your time, and difficult situations like travelling away, being away from each other you know, you make it work.”
“Maybe David’s turn of phrase was not as tactful as it might have been, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with admitting that marriage can be hard work,” Dr Becky Spelman – psychologist and We-Vibe’s Relationship expert told Mirror Online.
“In fact, every successful marriage is hard work, and that’s what makes it successful!
“Research shows that the period of being ‘in love’ rarely lasts for more than two or three years.
“Throughout that period, we typically think our partner is the most wonderful person in the world, we’re always ready to make love, and we still get excited at the prospect of seeing them at the end of a day apart.
“With time, this heady, passionate love starts to change. This is inevitable.
“Living in close quarters with someone, seeing them at their worst as well as their best, dealing with the daily challenges of life, and the simple passage of time all come together to reveal our loved one’s feet of clay. This is where the hard work comes in.
“Over time, the initial passionate love that a couple typically feels at the outset of their relationship can mature into a calmer, deeper, and even more profound emotion. However, this does not happen automatically.
“It means sticking together when one member of the couple is unwell, learning to tolerate or even appreciate certain habits that you find challenging, and working together to keep the household or the family going, through thick and thin.
“There’s a reason why the marriage vows ask a couple to promise to be there for one another in sickness as well as in health! Life can be challenging, and couples have promised to face those challenges together.
“In some ways, David Beckham has done his followers a favour. When celebrity marriages are depicted as all plain sailing, it can give people a false impression of what “regular’ marriages are like.
“Similarly, when we see our favourite celebs getting divorced at the drop of a hat, we can pick up the impression that it’s normal to ditch a relationship as soon as it starts getting difficult.
“When we see someone we look up to and admire admitting that it can be tough keeping a long marriage fresh and happy, we are given realistic expectations.
“If Victoria did not appreciate reading that her husband of many years considers their marriage “hard work”, that is easy to understand. However, Victoria herself is the ultimate hard worker, and you can be sure that she has also put a lot of work into her marriage, to make it thrive despite the various challenges that she and David have faced.
“Here’s hoping that this wonderful couple will work through the current storm to continue with their inspirational relationship!”
A Las Vegas casino after being accused by Meek Mill of having a ban on black rappers said Monday that he was turned away because the club was at capacity.
The 32-year-old rapper was prevented from entering a concert Saturday at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino by security guards who threatened him with arrest.
The Cosmopolitan told TMZ that it has a ‘zero tolerance for discrimination’ policy and the incident was not race-related.
The rapper was headed to its Marquee Dayclub where DJ Mustard was performing.
‘Marquee Dayclub had reached capacity per Las Vegas Fire Marshall code. Earlier that day, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police had been called onsite to manage a larger than usual venue crowd,’ the casino said.
Their statement added: ‘Accordingly, when Marquee Dayclub was contacted in advance of Meek Mill’s arrival, security staff clarified that he would not be granted access because of capacity issues, in accordance with both club and resort policy. Upon his arrival, it was reiterated to Meek Mill and his team for a second time that access to the venue was not permitted.’
The statement also said, ‘Meek Mill refused to depart property and was then informed that any continued attempt would result in trespassing.’
In a video shared by TMZ and to the rapper’s own Twitter on Saturday, he can be seen speaking through the window of his vehicle with casino security members.
The first part of the conversation was cut-off by the security guard who seemed to be alleging that Meek was involved in some kind of physical altercation during a previous visit to the casino.
The Ima Boss rapper (real name: Robert Rihmeek Williams) claimed that was ‘impossible’ as he’d visited the casino only once before when he accompanied fellow rapper and former girlfriend Nicki Minaj to a Jay-Z show.
When he and his own security pressed the employee for details about the alleged altercation, he punted, claiming he didn’t know the details and that they’d need to contact the casino’s vice-president.
‘This comes from way higher up than me,’ one guard allegedly said, according to Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina.
The rapper took to social media to accuse the casino of racially profiling him.
‘If you come from our culture you should never step foot in the cosmopolitan hotel they just really racist as hell,’ he wrote. ‘Something really has to be done in Las Vegas what they doing to black people!’
‘They telling black rappers they are banned from properties they own without incident … they just told me I was trespassing and I will be arrested I stepped in that hotel once at a jayz party without incident!’ he added in a subsequent tweet.
He followed up his outraged posts with a legal threat.
‘I needs lawyers ASAP y’all not gone treat me like I’m just a rapper and expect me to be quiet.’
Tacopina, Meek’s lawyer, claimed he spoke with ‘a well-placed person inside the hotel’ who told him that a group of Vegas hotels have been attempting to keep rappers off their premises.
He labeled the alleged actions racist, saying, ‘They wouldn’t ban Vanilla Ice.’
On Instagram, Meek accused the cabal of casinos of taking black artists’ money when it suited them.
‘Some of these casinos have a bunch of Tatics to keep the level of blacks down …. but love to take our money!!!! This happens to a lot of black entertainers not just me either!! I felt crazy being put out by these white men for no reason!’
Later on Saturday, TMZ obtained a letter written by Mill’s lawyer officially accusing the Cosmopolitan of racially profiling his client.
‘… we have learned that the Cosmopolitan maintains a list of African American recording artists who should be denied access for no other reason than than their culture and skin color. Such course of conduct constitutes discrimination per se, in violation of state and federal law, and exposes you to significant monetary damages,’ he wrote.’
‘…we urge you to promptly issue an apology to Mr. Williams and grant him immediate access. In the event you fail to heed this one and only warning, we intend to pursue all legal recourse against you.’
Though Meek claimed not to have had any previous negative experiences at the Cosmopolitan, he was involved in a long legal saga that started when he was arrested for possessing a firearm and assaulting a police officer when he was 18.
Subsequent legal confrontations were handled by the same judge, Judge Genece Brinkley.
Mill was in and out of court, and also behind bars, due to later alleged parole violations, though Brinkley was criticized for her judicial conduct, and an FBI investigation was allegedly launched into her participation in Mill’s case, according to Page Six.
Last year, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office petitioned Brinkley to release Mill from jail due to potential mishandling of his initial arrest in 2007.
She refused, though the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered him to be released in April of last year.
