Jewish worshippers attending Nnamdi Kanu parents Burial Detained by Nigerian soldiers.

A combined team of Nigerian soldiers and police have allegedly abducted Jewish worshippers at Isiala-Ngwa Junction who were on their way to attend the burial ceremony of the parents of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife.

This is according to a post by Nnamdi Kanu on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.

He said, “Information reaching me now is that two buses conveying Jewish worshippers on their way to my hometown Isiama-Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia Abia State for the funeral of my parents have been abducted at Isiala-Ngwa Junction by a combined team of Nigerian soldiers and police. They are currently being detained in their barracks”.

The Abia State Police command had earlier in the day accused Nnamdi Kanu of importing strangers into Afara community to truncate the peace and stability currently enjoyed by the people.

The Force warned that any attempt to cause fear and panic in the People’s mind will be resisted.

Why many Nigerians do scamming, is because we believe we are smarter than any other people-jidenna

Nigerian-American star, Jidenna disclosed that the reasons Nigerians often engage in fraud is because they are smarter than a lot of people.

Speaking during an interview on the Breakfast Club, Jidenna said: ”The reason why Nigerians are known for scamming is not because we are bad people. It’s because we are smarter than a lot of people”.

When asked by the presenter if he had scammed someone ever before, the handsome bachelor recalled the days he did some low key ‘scamming’.

‘ I don’t scam na. But yes, I have done a lot of things, I used to sell chains in China Town. I do buy some cheap stuffs, cheap female jewelry and sell them high to some high boys in the suburbs. I think that was a scam. But I never did the fake relationship thing. Never!”

At least 600 foreign nationals were arrested by police on Wednesday, South African media reports.

In the targeted search operation carried out in the main city, Johannesburg, police also confiscated firearms and a “large consignment” of counterfeit goods in various buildings.

David Makhura, premier of the Gauteng province which surrounds Johannesburg, tweeted that the crackdown is a part of a clean-up operation.

He said authorities were happy with the number of suspects arrested, according to South African newspaper the Citizen.

“The main issue have [sic] been with people who are driving taxis without licences and these taxis are not supposed to be on our roads,” the paper quotes the premier as saying.

The operation, known as O Kae Molao, is trending on social media, where some people raised concerns that it might encourage xenophobia.
