A restaurant worker caught bathing in the kitchen sink.

A major restaurant chain is investigating after a video uploaded to Facebook appeared to show a semi-naked employee bathing in the kitchen sink at one of its diners.

The incident which was supposedly filmed at Wendy’s Milton branch in the US state of Florida, depicts a young man wearing only a pair of shorts climbing into an industrial-sized sink filled almost to the brim with soapy water.

In the footage he is egged on by at least three other people, all of whom are wearing Wendy’s uniforms and laughing.

“Go, go, go, go, oh s**t,” one person is heard saying in the video.

“Take a bath, take a bath. Get in there.”

Once the young man is seated in the sink, with water coming up to his chest, he’s asked how “it feels”.

“It’s warm,” he replies.

“Wash your armpits, ooh yeah ooh,” a voice behind the camera instructs.

The bathing man complies, before the voice tells him to show “them toes”.

The camera frame then momentarily flips to the face of a young, grinning woman, who appears to be dressed in the Wendy’s uniform.

The Facebook user who posted the video to the social media site said it occurred at Wendy’s in Milton, Florida.

Carlisle, the parent company of Wendy’s Milton, told Channel 3 News the incident was “unacceptable” and they were investigating.

“This was a prank by a person who no longer works at this restaurant, and who clearly did not use good judgment,” Carlisle’s marketing director Mike Johnson told the news station.

“We are taking this opportunity to reinforce our very strict quality procedures with our restaurant team.”

Jada pinketh smith outfit at premier movie award, really supported her husband in a genious way

Jada Pinkett Smith's Genie Outfit at Aladdin Premiere

There’s supporting your other half at a movie premiere, then there’s dressing the actual part of your other half’s role in support. You better believe Jada Pinkett Smith did the latter.

The Red Table Talk host dazzled on the Aladdin purple carpet in a Genie-inspired coordinating look. Jada opted for a cobalt blue crop top covered in silver gemstones, matching palazzo pants, and strappy silver heels. She finished the look with silver bangles, diamond studs, and a beautiful red lip. But the real glow came from how much fun she was having and the love between her and Will that truly radiates from the photos.

Whether you call it royal blue, Yves Klein blue, ultramarine, or cobalt, this specific shade has a very special place in fashion and art history. The intense pigment mimics that of the gemstone lapis lazuli found in the mines of Afghanistan, which makes it so apt for the Aladdin premiere. We love the regal, otherworldly vibe of this jewel-tone blue. Seen all over the Fall/Winter 2019 runways at AreaElie Saab, and Alexander McQueen, cobalt is definitely a color to watch for Summer and well into F/W 2019.

Our favorite part of Jada’s outfit? How she elevated the crop top to look absolutely regal. Often seen as a Summer staple for teenagers, Pinkett Smith makes it look superelegant, and it’s all in the proportions. Try pairing a crop top with a floaty, high-waist bottom, which balances the look and lengthens Jada’s petite frame. We’d call that a bit of sartorial magic.

A grade 8 teacher has been suspended from school and faces disciplinary action after nyaope was allegedly found in his bag during a police raid.

The 58-year-old teacher at Crystal Park High School in Benoni, on the East Rand, was suspended on Thursday following the alleged incident.

He allegedly confessed to giving his bag to a pupil who was caught by police with the drugs. Three other pupils were also suspended after they were allegedly found in possession of drugs.

Police spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said officers found a brownish powder substance believed to be nyaope in the teacher’s bag.

Sekele said police were waiting for laboratory results to confirm the drugs. She said the teacher had not been arrested but investigations were under way.

The teacher now faces disciplinary action but parents of pupils at the school are concerned that he has not been arrested.

According teachers who spoke to Sowetan on condition of anonymity, the teacher claimed he had confiscated the drugs from pupils two days before the police raid and kept them in his bag.

“He admitted in front of the principal and police officers… His story does not add up. We should not protect him when over 600 lives of learners are being compromised by his behaviour,” said a teacher.

A parent at the school said the teacher was previously demoted from teaching grade 12 to grade 8 for alleged misconduct.

“The teacher has been seen smoking cigarettes in front of learners and has developed a wrong relationship with them,” said the parent.

A grade 12 teacher told Sowetan the school had been battling with a problem of violence and pupils abusing drugs.

“We catch learners with dagga, nyaope and cigarettes everyday. It is very difficult to manage them because most of these learners do not stop bringing them to the school,” she said.

The grandmother of the 17-year-old learner who was found with the teacher’s bag was disturbed by the incident.

“The school called me and told me what happened but I still don’t understand how a person entrusted with the care of our children will put a learner in such a compromising position,” said the grandmother who cannot be named to protect the pupil.

“My grandson told me he didn’t know what was inside the bag and had merely taken an instruction from a teacher who asked him to put the bag in his [teacher’s] classroom.”

Gauteng education spokesperson Steve Mabona said the department supported the decision of the school governing body to suspend the teacher and that officials were working closely with the school on the matter.

Rihanna officially based in London

Rihanna might just be a stealth superhero because she’s managed to move to London without any of us knowing.

The Work singer has confirmed that she is officially a Londoner after making the big move from the US to the UK earlier this year, which completely explains the Sainsbury’s bag fans spotted in her recent Instagram Story.

In her new interview with the New York Times, Rihanna revealed that she’s now living in London to be closer to her Fenty team who are based in Paris and Italy where the products are manufactured.

But it probably also helps that her boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, lives here too.

The 31-year-old told the publication that one of the things she appreciates most about living in the Big Smoke, is ‘walking around the block’, presumably without being noticed seeing as we never even knew she was our neighbour for two years.

When the reporter revealed their surprise considering they had to shut down part of Shoreditch for the interview, the singer admitted: ‘No. This is not a regular day in London. It’s a bank holiday. Everyone’s out. It’s insane.’

She added: ‘When I go walking, I try to keep it a little incognito.’

In case you were wondering where RiRi’s favourite London haunts are, the popstar revealed there’s a ‘cute little Jamaican market’ near to her home – which frankly could be anywhere in our beautifully multicultural city.

RiRi explained: ‘The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive. It could literally be walking outside in the sun.

‘That makes me happy. Like going to the grocery store — you know, there’s a cute little Jamaican market near where I live right now.’

In recent months, reports have claimed that Rihanna and Hassan’s relationship is getting serious.

The Wild Thoughts singer hinted that marriage and babies are on the way when she liked a post discussing the next steps in their two-year relationship.

In the meantime, if RiRi ever wants us to pop round for a cuppa, we could probably clear our schedule.

Man sentenced to death for killing couples in Cleveland car dealer shop

Joseph McAlpin in court for his sentencing hearing.

CLEVLEAND — Joseph McAlpin, who was convicted last month for the murders of a couple at their Cleveland car dealership, was sentenced to death by a judge Tuesday.

Last week, a jury recommended the death penalty for Joseph McAlpin. He was found guilty in the slayings of Trina and Michael Kuznik and their pet dog Axzel at Mr. Cars on East 185th Street.

On Tuesday at McAlpin’s sentencing hearing, the Cuyahoga County judge accepted the jury’s recommendation and formally sentenced McAlpin to death for the murders of the Kuzniks.

McAlpin was convicted last month on four counts of aggravated murder, four counts of aggravated robbery, four counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of kidnapping, four counts of felonious assault and a slew of other charges.

Investigators say McAlpin and two others went to the dealership on East 185th Street to steal cars and the robbery took a deadly turn. One of the other suspects pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter earlier this year. The second man has not been put on trial yet.

When the case was given to the jury to decide whether or not they would recommend a death sentence or life in prison, they deliberated for less than an hour.

The decision came in the second day of the sentencing phase of the trial and followed a morning of sometimes emotional closing arguments by both sides in which McAlpin again maintained his innocence.

“I am innocent,” said McAlpin. “I will continue to say that, continue to say that, and I will continue to say that until my fight is finished. No matter if it’s me getting on the gurney having something stuff up my veins and taking that penalty, or if it’s me coming back in this courtroom, reiterating it all again, doing it as round two.”

The crime rocked the Collinwood neighborhood. Cleveland City Councilman Michael Polensek, who represents Collinwood, was in court when the judge read the jury’s death penalty recommendation.

“The evidence was overwhelming, he was there,” said Polensek. “He did it. And to stand in the courtroom and to constantly deny it, and then sympathize with the family, you rotten SOB, you got what you deserve.”
