Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has jumped onto social media to mock his Nigerian colleague Davido whose wristwatch worth $30,000 was stolen at Osu.
According to an earlier report, Davido who was in the country to perform at the 2019 AfroNation decided to party at Acetantra nightclub in Osu first.
Davido decided to throw some cash to the hundreds of fans who were gathered outside to welcome and cheer him.
But it ended in tears when during the money sharing a skillful thief managed to snatch his wristwatch.
Davido tried to fight back with the thief and stopped sharing the money but sadly the thief was long gone.
But Shatta Wale in his post asked that next time the “IF” hitmaker tries to move in Ghana like him, then he should get the right people to move with otherwise they might end up kidnapping him next time.
He posted: “Davido if u want to roll in Ghana like me move with the right people ooo otherwise nest time na kidnap dem go kidnap u !!!! Boys deh hung for street my guy welcome Year of Return indeed and they cam back for their watch.”
Anambra State Government deployed police surveillance helicopters to complement existing security measures installed to guarantee safe environment for Ndi Anambra during the Christmas and New Year festivities.
The helicopters will be made to fly over the state periodically for aerial security survey of all nooks and crannies of the state.
It will also transmit data to the Command and Control Centre of the Anambra State Integrated Security System (ANISS) and the State Police Command in real time for prompt intervention and response to emergency situations.
The Government of Anambra has assured Ndi Anambra that every necessary measure would be in place to ensure safe and secure environment during the festivities.
It has also appealed to all not to panic on sighting the helicopter, designed to fly at low altitude in some cases.
The deployment of the surveillance helicopter confirmed Governor Willie Obiano’s commitment to safety and security of Ndi Anambra, especially this Yuletide season, when many would be home from all over the country and indeed the world to visit and celebrate with their folks at home.
It also affirms the governor’s readiness to fulfill his promise to Ndi Anambra when he said that his administration would keep awake and do everything necessary to ensure that Ndi Anambra sleep with their two eyes closed.
“The security of the state is a priority of my administration and since its inception on March 17, 2014, it has progressively been sustained,’’ Obiano said.
The buildup of these achievements reached resonating peak on October 11, when the governor alongside the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu and other security chiefs, launched a security operation codenamed “Operation Kpochapu ll’’.
During the launch, Obiano presented 111 vehicles and 71 motorcycles equipped with modern communication gadgets to security agencies in the state.
In an apparent unprecedented move, the governor presented hi-tech, mobile, surveillance cameras to launch a new and technological Mobile Security System (MSS).
The MSS is coordinated by ANISS via a command and control centre that analyses real-time information transmitted to it by the smart surveillance cameras.
The cameras are fitted with infrared rays for clear night vision and nicknamed the ‘Third Eye’ for their ability to capture data over a 400 meter radius received a boost for more coverage with deployment of surveillance helicopters by the government.
“However, security remains everybody’s business. It is necessary to report crime and suspicious movements in the immediate environments — obey traffic rules and cooperate with security agencies on stop and search duties across the state.
“Remember also to call the emergency toll free numbers: 112 or 07039194332 to report crime and any other emergency situations.
“Drive safe, live safe and be safety-conscious always. Welcome home to the safest state in Nigeria. Do have a Happy New Year,’’ the governor said
Abia State government is set to inaugurate a committee to explore the possibility of establishing a University of Science and Technology in Aba.
Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, who disclosed this in Umuahia, gave the members of the committee as Prof Anya O Anya-Chairman, Engr. Isaac Nnadi, Mrs Uwaoma Olewengwa, Prof Benjamin C. Ozumba and Prof Ikechi Mgbeoji -Secretary; adding that they would be inaugurated on January 6, 2020, by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu.
He explained that the committee would determine the feasibility of establishing the proposed university including need, funding, registration and materials for takeoff.
In his words, “Abia is underserved with universities. Most states who do not graduate as many students as Abia have 3 to 4 state and federal universities. We have engineering materials imported into the state since decades ago as part of set up equipment for metallurgical training institute meant for rapid technological advancement of the South East region.
“The vision bearers include engineers and Igbo statesmen. Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu is expected to midwife it because of his academic background.”
He noted that the proposed university of science and technology would serve as a technological platform to support the Enyimba Economic City.
“The choice of Aba is apt because we already have universities in Central (Umuahia) and North (Uturu). Also, Aba is the technology hub of the state and with Enyimba Economic City in view, we can leverage the university to support the development of the city.
“We expect a lot of private capital in the setting up of the university which will have a pro-Igbo leaning. Many Igbocentric development groups and education service providers are interested.
The commissioner stated the government would soon unfold its plans for the State Polytechnic, Aba and the State College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu, ACETA.
“We have plans for Abiapoly and ACETA that would be unfolded later in the new year. But if the committee believes that Abia poly should give birth to the University, it will be looked into by the government. A well-structured university will largely fund its operations. ABSU is today majorly funding its operations with minimal support from the state.
(WARNING: Graphic) Newly released beheadings video could signal a re-emergence of the Islamic State
Islamic State affiliate (ISWAP) in Nigeria has
During the Obama regime era, which seeded the rise of ISIS following the premature U.S. withdrawal of all troops from Iraq, ISIS beheading videos became a regular feature on Youtube and other video sites. When Youtube began censoring them, they moved to the Dark Net, but were still readily available for viewing (as those who have been BNI readers for a long time likely remember).
In the past few years, as ISIS suffered major defeats in the Middle East, the videos also disappeared. But apparently, an ISIS affiliate has started beheading Christians in Nigeria, a country that is approximately 50% Christian and 50% Muslim, with Muslims working hard to become the majority.
NY Post The Islamic State has released a video which purportedly shows the brutal execution of 11 blindfolded Christians in Nigeria, the day after Christmas, in revenge for the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and IS spokesman Abdul-Hasan al-Muhajir, accordign to Ahmad Salkida – a journalist who was first sent the video.
The barbaric act that was clearly timed to coincide with Christmas, according to reports.
“This is a message to Christians all over the world,” a masked man says in the one-minute video posted online late Thursday by the terror group’s Amaq news agency. No details were given about the victims, but ISIS said they were “captured in the past weeks” in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno state, according to the BBC. One captive was shot dead while the other 10 were beheaded.
Below is the censored Twitter video which shows the lead-up to the beheadings but not the actual beheadings.

In recent months, ISWAP has ramped up its attacks on Christians, security personnel and aide, setting up roadblocks on highways and conducting searches, according to Agence France-Presse.
Below are graphic photos from one of the infamous ISIS beheadings in 2015 of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya.
An affiliate of Islamic State in North Sinai started an insurgency after the Egyptian military’s ouster in 2013 of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi. The photos are from the ISIS video entitled “A Message Signed With Blood to the Nation of the Cross.”
Also in 2015, the Islamic State (ISIS) slaughters and beheads 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya.
In the video, an ISIS terrorist affirms that they will continue killing Christians until “polytheism” is destroyed, that is, until the belief in the Trinity is destroyed.
A masked man wielding a gun says that Christians must convert to Islam or pay a special tax as prescribed by the Quran. The video then alternates between images of captives in the south who shot dead and others in the east to the beheading on a beach.
And then there were the American and British aid workers that ISIS beheaded in Syria:
