A 38year old Uber driver, Adekunle Tade, of 28 olaogun street in lpaja area of Lagos, who was declared missing by his wife in December last year, has been found dead.
The wife of the deceased Mrs Adeola Tade said her late husband called to inform her that his vehicle was stolen and that he had reported to the police.
The alleged robbers used her husband’s phone to call that he should come and collect the vehicle at Otta that night only for him to get there but could not recover the car
The following day when the husband and his friend went to inform his, Mrs Andry Nwokedi, the owner of the vehicle about the theft, he was detained and tortured but was able to reach her through the friend’s phone.
Mrs Tade said she immediately called the woman’s phone number which she got through the assistance of the husband’s guarantor but warned her not to ever call the number again.
The Ubber driver Mr Kehinde Olatono who accompanied the deceased to his madam’s house claimed he heard some strange noise inside the house while waiting for his friend outside and that he ran to see what was happening but was shocked to see his friend being tortured on a bare floor.
Radio Nigeria got in touch with the deceased sister In-law, whose husband he requested his assistance when the was being tortured.
Radio Nigeria also tried to get Miss Andry Nwokedi to find out what transpired between her and Mr Adekunle Tade but all efforts proved abortive.
The Police Public Relations Officer Chike Otti when contacted said he would get back to Radio Nigeria.
38 year old graduate Adekunle Tade who hails from Ijebu Igbo in Ogun state was an ubber driver who went out to look for daily bread for his family when three people who boarded his car along Ikeja airport road snatched the vehicle at a gun point on the 4th of December.
He reported the case at Illepo Police Station and later went to report to the owner of the car but never return home until five days later when his dead body was found in the lagoon at Lekki.
