The luxury car had been suspended for two men, known as Mr Liu and Mr Yu, to carry out work on it.
But CCTV showed the car tipping backwards off the ramp.
Mr Yu runs to safety while Mr Liu clings to the car wheel in an attempt to weigh it down.
But he was unable to stop the car falling and was killed in the horrific incident.
The incident, which is now being widely shared on social media, was filmed in Shanghai’s Jiading District in eastern China.
Mr Liu was rushed to hospital for treatment but was declared dead a short time later, according to local reports.
Mr Yu survived but had a broken thigh bone.
Police have yet to comment on the matter.
