We’ve got our first glimpse of the track Kwesta and Rick Ross are linking up for, and honestly, it seems like we’ve got a certified classic coming our way.

It’s been an exceptional year for music in Mzansi. Not only have we seen the likes of Swizz Beatz, Chris Martin and Beyonce perform with some of our greatest artists, but it looks like Kwesta and American superstar Rick Ross are about to raise that bar once more.

Leaked footage of the pair filming a music video has emerged. Kwesta, born and bred in Katlehong just outside of Johannesburg, has been recording scenes in his own hood alongside the hip-hop legend.

The pair have already linked up to record the track Kuhambani, with details still being kept under tight wraps. However, we got a little sneak peek of what’s in store for music fans thanks to some very ninja-esque moves from social media users.

Kwesta and Rick Ross: Everything we know about their track

Some got up close, others recorded from afar. But we now know what to expect from this fire collab. From what we can tell, we’re in for some heavy bass and stripped-back beats.

At the Global Citizen Festival, we saw Cassper Nyovest lay down a challenge for the best SA-to-international trade exchange: Giving Timbuktu its first live airing, we were all pretty excited when him and Chris Martin nailed the performance. But bringing Stormzy out as an unannounced special guest ripped the roof off the FNB.

Kwesta has obviously gone balls-out to make a statement, and they don’t come much bigger than Rick Ross. The rapper is in Mzansi as part of his commitments with the Heineken brand. Their #192Countries campaign aims to bring global superstars to all parts of the world where the Dutch beer is served.

Sounds ace, right? We know the video is going to be lit too. Man like Rick Ross is just outchea , chilling in the hood like he’s never lived anywhere else, and we cannot wait for the finished product. Unfortunately, we’re having to live off scraps until the duo give us a release date and drop the track.
