This is the type of thing that sends shudders down your spine, yet it is happening every day on the streets of Mzansi. This latest footage of daylight robbery comes from Johannesburg, and it’s a bit of a grim watch if we’re being honest.

The video is at the bottom of the page, so sensitive viewers should avoid it. CCTV cameras caught the moment an innocent motorist was driving towards the China Mart – a store which sells Chinese items and food products – before being targeted by this group of thugs.

Approaching the victim in their white Audi A3, the gang stop in the middle of the road. They then proceed to reverse into the motorist, who attempts to make his escape from the harrowing situation.

However, these violent robbers are able to ram him off the road, before four of them exit the vehicle to subdue their target. Despite valiant attempts to ward-off their advances, the driver is shot at several times, before being dragged from the car and left in a heap on the tarmac.

Johannesburg China Mart robbery – latest updates:

All of the criminals hop back in the Audi – distinguishable by its black roof – and speed off. Miraculously, the victim was only wounded in the incident, and can be seen sitting upright by the time this video ends.

Although it isn’t crystal clear on the video, a hail of bullets were fired at the vehicle. Crime scene photos shared by security expert Yusuf Abramjee show just how extensive the damage was:

Abramjee was also the one who shared the video on social media. It’s understood that the crime took place between the FNB Stadium and Hillbrow, where the thieves were able to make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The China Mart is next to a cash and carry store, and it is entirely possible this person was specifically picked out by his attackers. Police are yet to make any arrests in this case.
