Security guards punch, kick and hit taxi driver with a pole for ‘trying to overcharge shoppers’
This is the shocking moment six security guards punch, kick and hit a taxi driver with a pole for allegedly overcharging shoppers in Thailand.
The clip, filmed outside the Terminal 21 building in Bangkok, captures the guards as they approach the apparent driver in hi-vis vests.
The group immediately begin their attack, punching and kicking the man in blue as he falls to the ground.
One of the six then uses a metal pole to strike the fallen man.
Before long, the taxi driver stumbles to his feet as men in suits attempt to break up the fight.
A crowd of onlookers watch from steps to the shopping mall as the man in blue begins to retaliate, throwing punches at the brawling guards.
He then runs barefoot away from his red taxi as an apparent security worker attempts to chase him to the back of a white car.
In the distance, another man can then be seen jumping in the air in an attempt to kick the taxi driver.
The man in blue then walks out of sight as the group of guards in hi-vis jackets gather behind the white car.
The taxi driver was reportedly approached after the security guards received a complaint about him on Wednesday afternoon.
He had allegedly repeatedly refused to accept customers using the legally-required metre – a common scam targeting tourists.
