Snoop Dogg kisses his wife of 21 years Shante Taylor as he gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
They’ve been married for an impressive 21 years.
And Snoop Dogg’s wife Shante Taylor was at his side as he was honoured on Monday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The rapper planted sweet kisses on his high school sweetheart, who donned a black blazer covered in stars.
Shante and Snoop have three children together, sons Cordé, 24, and Cordell, 21,, who quit football to pursue a career as a film maker, and daughter Cori, 19.
Snoop also has a son from a relationship with Laurie Holmond, Julian Corrie, 20.
While today Shante and Snoop seem happier than ever, they did break up back in 2004, but cancelled their divorce and four years later renewed their wedding vows.
Snoop’s star ceremony took place just four days ahead of the 25th anniversary of the release of his debut album Doggystyle.
The 47-year-old musician looked regal as he presided over the revealing of his place along the famed boulevard, surrounded by family and friends.
Snoop has released 16 studio albums since being discovered by Dr Dre in 1992 and has sold over 23 million records in the United States and 35 million worldwide.
Never one to shy away from a business endeavor, Snoop has also appeared in numerous films and television episodes, including Baby Boy, Scary Movie 5 and Starsky & Hutch.
He also gotten into director and producing pornographic movies, reality television and even went by the name of Snoop Lion after announcing his conversion to Rastafarianism following a trip to Jamaica in 2012.
Donning a long tan coat with a beige turtleneck underneath, the Gin and Juice rapper couldn’t keep the smile from his face.
He had baggie blue jeans on underneath as well as a freshly polished pair of black and brown wingtips.
Snoop shaded his eyes with a pair of dark sunglasses and his salt and pepper locks were slicked back.
His star is just in front of the El Capitan Entertainment Center, where Jimmy Kimmel Live! is taped.
The 51-year-old late night host was there and gave a speech about the rapper.
Also in attendance were Snoop’s longtime friends Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, and Warren G.
Snoop was recently honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, with the star running businesses in the world of cannabis, fashion, food and merchandise.
